Nighthawk M1 4G+ High Ping, High Jitter compared to Iphone
Hi all,
I have a couple of issues with my M1 Nightawk.
1) If there is a 4G+/Advanced LTE connection it is sometime slower than 4G. The router will connect to 4G and the speed is great and then it will find a 4G+ signal and upon connecting, the speed diminishes or the ping and jitter sky rockets. Any ideas how to force 4G if 4G+ is not a good connection?
2) So when I am in a rural area, I connect to my m1 Nighthawk and get very good speeds but the ping and jitter are high, if I then do a speed test with my iphone without the connection to the M1, the speeds are better and the Jitter and ping too.
Example: M1 Nighthawk ping 100, Jitter 100, DL 10 upload 2.
Iphone ping 80, jitter 15, DL 60, upload 10.
This is a rough example but illustrates that there is a significant difference, I thought the M1 would be superior for the antennas.
Can anyone suggest what I can do, is it faulty?

I wonder which bands your iPhone and your Nighthawk are using (switching back and forth) to... I can't tell because these very important details were omitted.
