Nighthawk M1 firmware upgrade issue

Hi there!

First time in this forum, so my aplogy in advance if this is already asked or answered :smileyhappy:

 

I just picked up am used Nighthawk M1 off eBay with the following device details:  

MR1100

I see the latest firmware in the Netgear site for this model is 12.06.11.00 but neither the firmwere version check (on m1login.net) can detect that upgrad nor the manual updrage can do it. Whatever the type I choose, the manual upgrade says: This version is not for this model - why is that? Does anyone know why I cannot upgrade the firmware?

 

Any help/comment will be very much appreciated!!

    Manuals are always a good place to start.

    Visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

    Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

    That page will also have any software, firmware and drivers for your device, if they exist.

    Check the section in the manual Update the Mobile Router Firmware.

     

    It offers several options.

    You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.

    I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

      Thanks for the respone michaelkenward 

      I did all of above, as you mentioned and that's why I know there is a newer firmware availabe but my device cannot see it or fails when trying a manual upgrade.

      any other thoughts?
