If the LED light on your Nighthawk M1 mobile router is solid amber, it typically indicates one of the following situations:
No Service: The router is unable to establish a cellular connection with the network, or the signal strength is weak. In this case, try moving to a different location with better network coverage, or check if there are any issues with your cellular service provider.
Software Update: Sometimes, a solid amber LED may indicate that the router is in the process of updating its firmware or software. During the update, the LED may turn solid amber, and the device may not function until the update is complete.
Error or Issue: An amber LED may also indicate an error or issue with the device. In this case, you can try restarting the router and check if the LED returns to its normal state.
To troubleshoot the issue, follow these steps:
Check Network Signal: Ensure that the Nighthawk M1 is located in an area with good cellular coverage. You can try moving to a different location or place the router near a window to improve signal strength.
Restart the Router: Power off the Nighthawk M1, wait for a few seconds, and then power it back on. Observe the LED status after it finishes booting.
Check for Software Updates: If the LED is flashing amber during startup, it may indicate a firmware update in progress. Wait for the update to complete, and the LED should return to its normal state.
Reset the Router: If the LED remains solid amber and the device is unresponsive, you can perform a factory reset to revert the router to its default settings. Note that this will erase any custom configurations you may have set up. To perform a factory reset, look for a small reset button on the router, usually accessible with a paperclip or a pin. Press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds until the LED lights change or the device restarts.
Check Manual or Contact Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consult the Nighthawk M1 user manual or contact Netgear support for further assistance. They may be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps based on your device's model and firmware version.,..
