Nighthawk M1

The screen on my Nighthawk M1 wasn't showing the data or number of days left until I updated the firmware. After I updated the firmware it showed, but the information never changed. I went into the Telstra shop and was told to reset the unit. I did so, but now it continues to say "Detecting service". How do I get it to find the service and show the data and time remaining?

    Please insert SIM card to a mobile phone and check if service is detected. We also suggest to contact again Telstra and make sure that device reached ISP billing server.
