Nighthawk M2 - ethernet port restricted?

Hello

 

I attempted to connect my receipt printer (Epson) via the Nighthawk M2 ethernet port and it failed miserably. After a conversation with Epson, I'm told there that the ethernet port might have limitations / restrictions on it.

 

Does anyone know what that might be and a way to override this?

    What is the error message when you attempt to connect the printer to the MR2100? 

    Is it getting an IP address?

    To test the Ethernet port, please wired a computer to the MR2100 and check if it goes online. 

    Have you tried using different Ethernet cable?
