Nighthawk M2 update problem

I recently got an M2.

 

2 problems:

 

1. Firmware update does not seem to work. It just says "checking..." but deos nothing.

2. When the router is fully charged the wifi networks disappear. The router lists them as active but no device can detect them

 

What can I do?

    To complete the firmware update, kindly turn off and on MR2100 and try again. If failed, remove the SIM card then update the firmware. If still the same, please reset the device.
