Can I install a vpn on the M2?
I don't think it has that capability to "install" it to.
If you're traveling that much, I'd check into something like gl.iNet's offerings.
You could even go M2-->gl.iNet--->devices (m2 in passthrough mode)

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look for the model number on the label on the device.
The MR2100 manual says nothing about adding a VPN. (Most Netgear manuals will at least tell you how to install OpenVPN if they support it.)
In any case, not all VPNs are equal. A good place to start is the VPN maker you have in mind.

I am looking to purchase a mobile router for when I am travelling but I want to use a vpn on it. The M2 is an expensive mobile router but I have Orbi mesh systems and I like their support. I just need to know if I can install a VPN on it as I go to Turkey regularly and they block lots of sites.

Thank you. I already use the Gl.i as a static router at my property in Turkey. I think their mobile one would also work better than the M2.
