Nighthawk M5 - Phones get disconnected non-stop
Hi, Any Andoird Phone connected to the WiFi is beeing disconnected non-stop. Yes, I did try a Factory Reset. Yes, I have the latest firmware (at least, it is what the unit claims!) -> NTGX55_12...
Nope, I don't have other netgear routers with me. But I used to use the aircard 810 with the same phones - never ran into an issues. The "other" brands work just fine as well as using one of the phones as a hot-spot.
You are correct, that the phone will not disconnect if I do disable the data connection. It Reconencts more or less immedatly and it shows full strength.
You can also only disable mobile data, so you can still make and receive phone calls,SMS. Because when you disable completely your mobile connection only Wi-Fi will work.

There could also be changes during installed updates on your smartphone to the agressiveness to decide if a Wi-Fi signal is too weak. When you now stay connected when disabling mobile data means that the autoswitching feature could be the cause because with that trick airplane mode with only Wi-Fi your phone can not use mobile data.
