You even confirmed when disabling your data connection that you got a stable connection with a very short reconnection time.
You are correct, that the phone will not disconnect if I do disable the data connection. It Reconencts more or less immedatly and it shows full strength.
That is exact the same thing when you disable the option to automatically switch from Wi-Fi to your data connection when the signal is weak. In that case you don't need to disable completely data usage.You should also give Netgear as much information as possible which Android version installed,which security patches installed.
