Nighthawk M5 - UK mobile network recommendations?
I've purchased a Nighthawk M5 to use periodically for mobile network (mostly for simple admin + taking payments using SumUp card readers)
My head is spinning a bit with the options, I've seen a few that are Data only but these generally seem more expensive that the same amount of data + minutes & texts (which of course wouldn't be used). Can these standard phone contracts be used without any issues?
I would also prefer to go Pay As You Go since I'll only be using this for certain months, so far haven't found a Data Only sim which offers this. https://www.reddit.com/r/NETGEAR/comments/13da08k/nighthawk_m5_uk_mobile_network_recommendations

I doubt if you will find ,any users here with experience of mobile networks in the UK. They certainly won't visit this section. You have bought a mobile router/hotspot. This place is for Nighthawk Wi-Fi 6 (AX) Mesh Systems.
There is no Netgear M5 model that I can find. Maybe it is the MR5000 or MR5200.
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
