Nighthawk M5 AT&T Looking for APN

For SafeLink Wireless, I pay for the extra unlimited data allowance, I'm also using the Verizon tower coverage, but it shows no signal nothing, when I had the T-Mobile coverage towers and sim variant I was able to get a signal and data coverage.

Does the m5 version support Verizon or am I entering the wrong apn settings.

I've tried;
Name: 1. Safelink, 2. Safelinkvzw, 3. TFDATA

APN: 1. RESELLER, 2.TRACFONE.VZWINTERNET, 3. TFDATA
PDP: IPV4V6

PDP Roaming: IPV4V6

None are wanting to work.

  • It sounds like the M5 simply isn’t seeing Verizon signal at all. The APNs you tried are correct, especially TRACFONE.VZWINTERNET. If you still get zero signal, the AT&T model of the M5 likely doesn’t support the Verizon bands in your area. That’s why it worked on the T Mobile side but not now. The issue is signal compatibility, not your APN settings.

    • I guess it's like Jack said, I don't have those bands to connect, that's why it's just not doing anything.

        Yeah, that’s exactly it. If the bands aren’t there, no APN will fix it. The AT&T M5 just isn’t a good match for Verizon in many areas. Switching back to a T Mobile based SIM is usually the only real solution.

  • If those APNs aren’t working, it’s likely not the settings — the Nighthawk M5 doesn’t fully support all Verizon bands in many areas. That’s why it worked fine on T-Mobile but shows no signal on the Verizon side. You can test the SIM in another Verizon-ready device to confirm coverage, but in most cases switching back to a T-Mobile–based SIM gives better results on the M5.
