Nighthawk M6 Pro connectability

Within the last to weeks, my father and I went to AT&T to get some home internet (we live rural) we went to T-Mobile first and they straight up refused to offer any service because we weren’t in their 5G area. So we get a hotspot for home. The first night was rough, it was very difficult to establish any sort of connection. We eventually got it to receive a cell signal from the towers, our phones connect just fine. On the other hand no other smart device can pick up its signal. Not a smart tv that is 4 feet away from the hotspot. Not a Roku stick, not a Nintendo Switch. Is there something I’m doing wrong? Or do I need to mess with the hotspot?
