More than likely an issue with the AC power adapter. It needs to be the original supply or, at least, a high-quality high wattage supply. Most hot spot devices sold on Amazon don't come with the right one.

Thank you for the reply. I haven’t found the compatible Netgear brand adapter/USB cable available for sale. I did find a 100W USB C charger with power delivery and USB cable on Amazon. A reviewer stated it works great with Nintendo Switch in docked mode. I think it is worth a try.
