Nighthawk M6 Will not boot past NETGEAR Screen

Problem occurs when unit being on power for a period with battery removed then when I need unit to be portable and reinstall battery unit won't reboot the NETGEAR or 5G screen 

 so I removed the SIM card, and I physically factory reset the device (pushed paperclip end into "reset" hole; held for 10 seconds to allow to reboot). When device rebooted, the "NETGEAR" logo screen came on, and stayed on.
