Nighthawk MR 1100 disconnects connected devices several times per hour

I have had this router for a couple months but everytime I use it, it will disconnect my laptop several times per hour and any other devices connected to it.  I have set the standby mode to never but it still does this.  I can use my phone as a hotspot and it will not disconnect but the MR 1100 will disconnect several times over an hour.  I have checked for software upgrades and it says I am current at NTGX9X50C_12.06.11.00
