Well, I admire your enthusiam. But in this day and age most electronics are treated as disposibles. Occassionally, if you can find the part, you might get lucky. But in many cases these devices aren't designed for serviceability. You might find a junk one on ebay for $50 and then canibalize the parts out of that. Or buy a whole used/refurb one for $50-100 (not a Nighthawk though).
