Nighthawk MR5100 2.4ghz not working but 5ghz working
I have an MR5100 mobile hotspot. It was working fine for the past 2 years. Today, it is no longer broadcasting the 2.4ghz SSID, and I cannot connect to it on the SSID I had set it to. However, 5ghz works fine when I turn it on. In dual mode, the 5ghz works fine but 2.4ghz SSID does not appear and I can't connect to it.
I tried resetting to factory settings twice. I also used the reset button on the back once as well, setting up the hotspot from scratch several times. On one of the tries, I was able to get a 2.4ghz SSID, but was not able to log on and then the network disappeared.
Any pointers appreciated. I've read through some related posts in this forum but wasn't able to find a solution for this hotspot.
Thanks!

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems
Those things are very different from the standard Netgear routers covered in this section.
You might like to search there for messages related to your issue.
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.- pdirectiveAspirantThank you for the links to the other forum. I had not see it. That does look like a better place to search and post.
Thanks for the manual links. I have gone through the manual. It was not helpful for this issue. I will take another look.
