NighthawkM2 connected to a router

I am using the NighthawkM2 as a mobile hotspot at home (and when traveling).

Is there any advantage to connecting it to a home router?

To explain I had Telstra NBN and still have their router F@ast 5355.  

If I connected the Nighthawk as the internet source would that provide better coverage in the house?
