I can confirm that NTG9X50C_12.06.07.00 did solve the ugly "cannot charge during usage" problem!
I just came back from a trip where I was able to operate the M1 in a hotel room for 3.5 days of permanent LTE and WiFi usage with an USB Quick Charge power supply connected and the battery inserted. The M1 was able to charge up the battery to 100% while being in use, and kept the battery fully charged the whole time. This has never worked before, it only did now after upgrading to the new firmware NTG9X50C_12.06.07.00.
Now I hope that the newly released NTG9X50C_12.06.08.00 does not include any regressions. With the charging problem fixed, the M1 becomes the best mobile LTE router that I have ever owned and used.

Has anyone done the update and also performed the AT commands to add band locking? Wondering if this will erase that and/or add a password to the interface.
Any improvements for UPnP or Port Forwarding? My Xbox and PC still have Strict NAT with UPnP enabled.

On my side, the upgrade didn't remove the band locking added from AT command, hopefully :)
Can't says about UPNP, I didn't use it

The band selection functions still work fine for me (or at least, they persist -- I haven't tried updating them).
I don't use uPnP. My provider (AFAICT) doesn't ever allow me to open any ports, so there's no use of that for me.
