Proper Setup For Netgear MR1100 and Deco Mesh
I currently have a Netgear Nighthawk MR1100 LTE hotspot router running the internet for my home. To spread the internet through the home I have 2 Deco M4Rs running as routers. I'm trying to figure out the proper way to set these up. Currently I'm experiencing lags through the mesh system that aren't there when I connect directly to the hotspot modem.
The current setup is an ethernet line run from the hotspot modem directly into the Deco then an ethernet line run from the 1st deco to the second one on the other side of the house. I have the Decos running in Wi-Fi router mode.
I'm wondering if I should actually be using the Decos as just wi-fi extenders instead of the router.

Might do a search here in the forums thread for Deco mesh. I see a couple of posts regarding that model router and MR configurations. https://community.netgear.com/t5/Cell-Service-Mobile-Hotspot/Nighthawk-M1-how-to-connect-to-deco-mesh/m-p/2029593#M17294

Please enable IP passthrough on MR1100 and connect the ethernet port to your Deco base. This will resolve the double NATing issue.
You can also try just connecting the Deco base to M1 and see whether you experience the same lagging or not. This will help to rule out the issue between 2 Decos.
Thanks

I have attempted to select the IP passthrough multiple times and once selected the Deco never receives any internet signal. That is why I currently have it in the current configuration. I will try that setting again though.

You can connect a PC to the MR1100 ethernet port and see whether PC works with IP passthrough setting. There might by compatible issue between M1 and Deco. But this type of setup is quite common use case for mobile hotspots.
