Repeater for the NETGEAR MR5200?

So my mom bought this router because we have normal **bleep**ty wlan and have unlimited data, so we wanted to use it as our primary router. Everything works fine and the internet is fast as hell, the problem is that only my room doesnt show up the wlan. Is there some kind of wirless repeater for the router?

  • You could use a repeater. Any of netgears would work.

If it was me, I'd use an dedicated router though.

If you had an old router through, you could connect that in either AP mode or router mode with the MR system in passthrough mode.

reason why is the Mr5200 is a great device but its wireless broadcast distance isn't as good as a good router is because its a hotspot device

Fully agree with plemans - consider connecting an (already existing, or a new) Ethernet Wi-Fi router. Or if a larger coverage is required a Wi-Fi Mesh system.

      Key settings from wally brain

      • IP Passthrough: ON
      • DHCP: Disabled
      • Ethernet Standby: Disabled
