I have no idea what that means. What, exactly, is your (unspecified)
"my ADSL router"? What, exactly, is connected to what, exactly? (Hint:
If a device has different types of Ethernet ports, then "connected to
device" is not enough detail.)

which settings did you set to what? How, exactly, is your (unspecified)

"this"? Who knows what "this" really is?
My guess, based on what might be the most confusing description I've
ever read here (which is saying something), is that Netgear wants you to
use one router which is properly configured (say, by following the
documentation), rather than getting "creative", and tangling two
different routers together into one big mess. But that's only my guess.
