SD to USB adapter on a Nighthawk M2

Hello everyone, 

I'd like to purchase a Nighthawk M2, but I saw there is no SD port on this model. If i use a 'SD card to USB' adapter on the USB port, will it work as well ? (Mostly for the access to the server)
