There are specialized 5G routers devices who allow you not only SMS gateway (but two SIMs) like Cudy p5, then travel convenient: GL.iNet GL-XE300 (Puli) or the newer GL-XE3000 (Puli AX). M3 can't do these things, you got a wrong router. Albeit Netgears have great hardware, software is the problem.
Forgot to mention MikroTik router too can have full SMS gateway with ton of adjustments if you need SMS capability.
