Slow speeds on MR6500

I do now have a stable MR6500 but my download and upload speeds are seriously slow using the current firmware version: NTGX65_10.04.22.01 and an AT&T sim.  The device is unlocked so I tried a T-Mobil...

    After a new software update and realization that AT&T does not provide as fast download speeds as T-Mobile, I'm closing this discussion.  The MR6500 may be a good device, but AT&T's infrastructure is woefully lacking in performance.

Is there anything I can do to help resolve this?  Both model.json files have been sent.  Would a factory reset help?  Replacing sim card?  Going to AT&T store?

 

Just looking for why the device is so slow.
