Smart Cradle

I have just upgraded my Aircard from a BigPond 4G Advanced to a Telstra 4GX Advanced III.  We have a lousy signal here so I use an external aerial connected to a charging cradle for the AirCard 782S for the old device.  I see this has been replaced by a newer Smart cradle.  Can I continue to use the old cradle or should I upgrade this as well?  Could I expect better performance with a newer cradle?

    Hello Galaji

You should be able to use DC112 or DC113 for this card.

    Hi Galaji,

The DC112A smart cradle has inbuilt 3G/4G antennas and has proven to boost signal in low coverage locations in Australia.  If your current DC111A with external antennas are already doing a good job then it should not be neccessary to upgrade to the Smart Cradle.  The DC111A is compatible with the Advanced III.  Your exisiting external antenna can also be plugged into the back of the smart cradle.  The Smart Cradle will not only boost your 3G/4G signal it will also give you a stronger WiFi connection as it is basically a router on its own.  You will also get additional ethernet ports and USB3.0 port for plugging in a storage drive.  But if all you need is for charging and plugging in external antenna and the DC111A is doing the job then it wont be neccessary to upgrade.
