We are a group of customers based in Saudi Arabia, and we need to raise this issue clearly and firmly.
In Saudi Arabia, the primary and largest 5G provider is Saudi Telecom Company (STC). It is the main operator for 5G services in the country. Purchasing a premium device such as the Netgear Nighthawk M7 Pro (MR7400) for 500$ specifically for 5G performance, only to discover that it does not connect to STC’s 5G network, is completely unacceptable.
There was no clear and explicit warning at the time of purchase stating that the device is not compatible with STC 5G. Selling a flagship 5G device that does not properly support the largest 5G network in an entire country — without transparent disclosure — is misleading and unfair to customers.
We have already contacted STC, and their response was clear: the issue is not from their side and appears to be related to device compatibility or firmware configuration from Netgear.
This is not a minor inconvenience. Many of us invested significant money in this device based on its advertised 5G capabilities. A 5G router that cannot connect to the leading 5G operator in Saudi Arabia is, in practical terms, unusable for a large segment of customers here.
We are requesting an immediate and official response from Netgear:
- Is the M7 Pro (MR7400) officially compatible with STC 5G?
- If yes, when will a firmware/PRI update be released to resolve this issue?
- If not, why was this limitation not clearly disclosed before purchase?
If no solution is available, customers deserve full transparency so they can make informed decisions — whether that means returning the product or switching to a brand that fully supports STC 5G.
We expect a clear, technical, and official statement — not a generic support response.
