Verifone VX 820 not recognising ethernet cable connected to Nighthawk 2

The router is an Archer VR 1600v Ver 2 and the mobile router is a Netgear Nighthawk MR2100.

It has also been working when connected to my Mac via a thunderbolt bridge, however after updating to Monterey I can use the eftpos machine but then I can't use the internet as it states its not connected.  When I disconnect the eftpos I can once again using the internet.

So you're going MR2100--->Tp-link archer? 

Is that correct? 
or are you just using the MR2100 and plugging the Verifone into it?

    I’m plugging it directly into the Nightgear. The Archer is what I use at home.
