What’s my password ?

Having had recently had to top up my router’s SIM for the first time I was then presented with an admin login window in the M Netgear app on my phone. I was asked for the password and I didn’t know it !
I have since restarted everything and now the app is filling in the password field automatically and every worked okay, however I still don’t know the password.
How do I find it so I can make a note. ?

  • To find the password for your Netgear router, open a web browser and enter the router's IP address (commonly 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) in the address bar. You'll be prompted to log in with a username and password. The default username is usually "admin" and the default password is "password" unless these have been changed. If the defaults don’t work and you haven’t noted the updated credentials, you may need to reset the router to its factory settings, which will restore the default login details. Once logged in, navigate to the wireless settings section to view or change the Wi-Fi password. Be sure to save the new password in a secure place.
