GS724Tv3 — 24-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch with 2 SFP Ports - cable testing

Hi,

I have the following type of swtich which I want to install:

If I put this on my network does it have the facility to identify faulty cables.

I am trying to identify a problem with dropouts and I have 2 unmanaged switches.

I am not sure if it is cables at this stage or a faulty switch.

If I replace one of the unmanaged ones to it looks like this

At the internet side my router kept working via Wifi but the ethernet failed.

Before:

<PC> --> <Unmanaged Switch> -- <Unmanaged Switch> -- <Internet>

After

<PC> --> <Unmanaged Switch> -- <GS724Tv3 > -- <Internet>

Now with the after configuration (as that is switch I suspect is faulty).

With this smart switch can it help me identify the problem if it is due to a bad cables etc.

And what type of logs would I be looking at in this switch?
