Product Shipped with Old Firmware without Webserver

Here again, based on the firmware version detected, this is not a Netgear-retail unit - much more it was a special OEM version for whatever usage, probably for an ISP, from many years ago. Therefore you can't expect any help from Netgear.

In case you are still interested, there is a fine up2date documentation available along with the ProSafe Plus Utility -> Downloads .... as NETGEAR ProSAFE Plus Configuration Utility User Manual with a two page step-by-step on "Upgrade the Firmware" on p.40/41.
Take it, or leave it.

Thanks for the help schumaku - your suggestion worked well.
Downloaded and installed the ProSAFE Config Utility on a current / updated version of Win10.
Then used that to flash the firmware to v1.6.0.11
Switch appears now to be working expected.
(FWIW the unit was sold to me as new... although it wasn't in its retail packaging... so I guess that's my lesson learned)
Difficult to judge what one is busing and getting under these conditions. Appears some smart a**s is still offering these OEM devices from some old stock, and sell them as "new". Luckily, we learned the original and current firmware can be flashed. Thank you for the confirmation!
Some smarta** are still offering these OEM as "NEW ProSAFE GS105Ev2 5-Port Gigabit Web Managed (Plus) Switch" e.g. on ebäh for 65 USD - luckily they show the original manufacturing label clearly identifying it as a GS105E-2A1NAS. At least, they accept returns - fair enough.
Reminder: A correct retail GS105Ev2 intended for the North American market would be GS105E-200NAS, -not- a GS105E-2A1NAS ...
Current street prices over here in Europe are in the 31.25 ... 49.00 USD range, including Swiss VAT btw. - but yes, these switches are difficult to buy these days.
The good thing is that these OEM serial numbers can't be registered with my.netgear.com
FWIW my unit which was shipped without a working webserver was able to be registered with NetGear.
Also FWIW my unit doesn't indicate -200NAS, or -2A1NAS it just says GS105Ev2.
