VLAN-tagged broadband connection
Hi, I have a new ISP that uses VLAN tagging but this is not supported by Google Nest Wifi. In order for the Nest Wifi to work I need to add a switch to my network separate managed network swi...

Try an alternate port but #1 ... one which is only VLAN 7, and make one tagged for the WAN port.

I have found a screenshot with LAN settings on this forum how to get VLAN working in combination with my Netgear router.
My ISP uses VLAN 6 so I changed all the 7s in de LAN settings (see attachment) with a 6 but it's stil not working, does anyone see what I am doing wrong ?

Thank you again for your patience !
After trying everything, without succes, I started again from scratch this morning. Finally, a connection was established through the settings shown in the attachement.
The only problem I have now is the upload speed, however the download-speed (speedtest.net) is fine with 891.76 Mbps the upload-speed is only 270 Mbps and it should be about the same as the download speed.
GS305E Switch
#1 WAN/Fiber
#2 WAN Nest Router
#3 LAN Nest Router
#4 GS308 Switch
#5 Empty
ps: you wrote "the Smart Managed Plus switches are a little bit waek to expose to the wild Internet because of the limited security capabilities", do you have any other suggestions. Do I need two switches two work like this, could I do with just one switch for VLAN and connect all my other stuff on the same switch (I now have a GS308 attached on #4 but I rather work with one bigger switch and good security)

I would try to avoid missing WAN and LAN on the same switch ... even on business class switches.
The weak point comes from the fact that the Smart Managed Plus switches management IP address (except of some XSnnnE models) does listen on each VLAN, the so-called management VLAN can't be defined on the Smart Managed Plus units - a Smart Managed Pro (GSxxxT model) would overcome this limitation.
