How to connect as admin to remote Netgear WAC104 802.22ac Wireless Access Point on my local network
On my home office network I have...
- Main Router: Linksys EA5800 AC1000 Dual-Band Smart Wi-Fi Router
- Remote Access Point: Netgear WAC104 802.22ac Wireless Access Point
They are hardwired together via an Ethernet cable.
The Access Point is in a cottage behind our main house about 50 to100 feet away.
We set this up years ago.
I'm trying to log on to the Access Point as the Admin over our local network but can't get the logon screen.
The Linksys router shows me the IP address of the Access Point and I can Ping it...
But when I put that IP address into a web browser it won't connect. Neither will aplogin.net.
My Goal is to log on to the Access Point and change it's logon password.
Please tell me how I can log on as admin to the NetGear Access Point over the network as getting to the Access Point in the Cottage (Rental Property) is not preferred.
Thanks for any help.

A LAN IP address in the same subnet like the router LAN?
DHCP assigned, or a static config?
The aplogin.net DNS to IP resolution does work only when the DNS is queried through a direct wireless connection.

Don't forget to update your WAC104 to a current firmware version WAC104 Firmware Version 1.0.4.21 and follow the advise on the release notes.
