GS308P>GS105PE POE doesn't work together - any ideas, please?

Hi

We have a GS308P hooked up to a GS105PE for a bird box camera. Power light of GS105PE is on, but the Left port LED doesn't light up and doesn't pass power to the camera.

I hooked up the GS308P to a GS108PP then to the GS105PE, added the camera and the GS105PE left port had 10/100 activity.

Because of devices hooked up to the GS108PP I'd like to have the GS308P work with the GS105PE, does anyone have any idea why these two won't work together, please?

Many thanks for all support.

Afraid you can't.- because of the PoE requirements of your camera requiring 802.11af.

Only 802,3af Class 2 is probably not sufficient for this camera. The tech specs state PoE: IEEE 802.3af compliant

Like many low cost devices this means it needs a full Class 0 or Class 0 PSE.

    6. Will there be any behavior difference when it is powered by an IEEE802.3 af or an IEEE803.at PoE switch?
Yes, when it is powered by 802.3af switch, it can supply power to class 1 or 2 PD only. When it is powered by 802.3at switch, it can supply power to class 0, 1, 2 or 3 PD.
