Minimum DC voltage for FS105v3
I'm embedding a FS105v3 ethernet switch into a system and won't have the provided adapter supplying 12V to the switch. I have +12V available but want to isolate the switch from other system componen...

A little brainstorming about your plan:
- Typical voltge "precision" of the small power bricks is somehwere in the +/- 5% or so under various loads.
- The switches have always some kind of internal power regulator(s) on board.
- What is the idea behind adding a dedicated regulator for the switch?

Since the switch is using an internal +12V system buss with other instruments I wanted to add the regulator to provide some more isolation of noise from the switch getting into these other instruments. But that plan has changed and now I may need to run the switch at 13V instead. I think I read another article on this site which said that 13V is ok.
It would be cool if the datasheet had a voltage range specified. I can't imagine I'm the only one that embeds these:)
