dhcp connection lost at switch?

Hello. I am upgrading my home office network to gigibyte speeds, which includes replacing my old FVS318 Firewall/Router with a new FVS318G v2 Firewall/Router, gigabyte switches and Cat6 ethernet cables.

The only problem I am encountering is that most of the devices connected to a NetGear G5608 v3 switch at my entertainment center lose DHCP connection to the firewall/router, and therefore cannot connect to the Internet. This includes a NetGear WAC120 wireless access point and a Sony BluRay player. These devices work properly when connected directly to ports on the new Firewall/Router. Oddly, a Sony PlayStation3 connected to the switch *does* connect properly to the Internet.

I don't think this is an issue with the switch, since other switches I have tried in that position have the same issue (except that the Sony PlayStation 3 does *not* connect to the Internet with those switches.

So I suspect I am missing something in the setup of the FVS318G v2 Firewall/Router. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve this.

Thank you!

    Hello ckryanco,

    Welcome to the community!

First, let us make sure that you have them connected in the following order:

    Modem>FVS318Gv2>GS608v3>Devices

Then check your LAN IP table on the router by going to Network Configuration>LAN Setup>LAN Groups.

    Thanks,
