- I am trying to configure IPSec VPN tunnel with GPRS Modem (Make: Maestro,
Model E225 Lite)
- while configurating VPN Wizard its asking for following:
What is the Remote WAN's IP Address or Internet Name? | ???? |
- But at remote end there is GPRS modem with local SIM card (No static IP)
- Same time in IKE Policy remote END parameter what should be the identifier and identifier Type.
- requesting you to help me to resolve this issue..
Thanks in advance..

Hi nmwakde,
The Remote WAN IP Address is the Public WAN IP Address that is registered on the GPRS Modem. You may want to check the user manual of your GPRS modem to know where you can get the information about its WAN IP Address as well as the IKE Policy remote END parameter identifier and identifier type.
Just to verify, are you setting up a Box-to-Box IPSec VPN Tunnel or Client-to-Box IPSec VPN Tunnel? Either way, kindly access the articles below and use it as your guide:
Configuring a Box to Box VPN on ProSAFE/ProSECURE routers using the VPN Wizard
ProSAFE VPN Client: Client to Box Configuration

I just want to follow-up on this. Were you able to get the WAN IP Address as well as the IKE Policy remote END parameter identifier and identifier type of your GPRS modem? Hope this user manual I found online would help.
