Maximal number of PPTP users - FVS336Gv3
Dear all, I have created 40 PPTP VPN users in FVS336Gv3 device without any problem. But only first 25 users (on the user list) can connect to PPTP VPN server. For other users, I get error message...

Hi train_wreck
I can accept explanation that Firewall CPU is too weak to handle more than 25 PPTP simultaneous CONNECTIONS, but
- I am able to create more than 25 PPTP user accounts
- I don't need more than one simultaneous connection (I don't need concurent VPN connection, I know that device is limited to 25 simultaneous CONNECTIONS, but I need just one)
My question is: why 26th PPTP user ACOUNT on the user list is not able to connect using PPTP VPN connection, even there is no any active VPN connection in that moment? This is not problem with CPU power.
Thanks,
Milan

Also, where I should set pre-shared - I can't find it in L2TP VPN setting on Firewall? I need pre-shared key, to create L2TP VPN connection on Windows native VPN client
Is there any free SSL VPN client which can be used on Windows 8.1/Windows 10 x64 version?
I have found compatibility matrix and there is no support for these operating systems:

I can't believe that I have purchased actual firewall device and I can't use SSL VPN on actual operating systems

RE: the issue of having the 26th and beyond users unable to connect - I duplicated this. It's a firmware problem. Given that the device is old, I wouldn't be too hopeful for a firmware update.
RE: SSL VPN, not sure. I personally wouldn't run SSL VPN on this device, as it requires that the HTTP daemon be listening on the WAN, and due to the age of the device I would not trust the built-in HTTP/S server daemon, which is likely years out of date. But that's just me.
RE: the L2TP PSK, you define that in the IPsec VPN settings. You need to have both IKE and Mode Config settings configured, and then have the "L2TP Server" page configured/enabled. The guide I posted has info on it.
