Extend wifi with 2 WAX 610
Hi,
I would like to extend my WIFI by using 2 WAX610. I want to have only one SSID and password.
I read that topic : Résolu : WAX610 and MESH configuration - NETGEAR Communities
But there is still something that I can't understand.
Could you confirm? There is 2 ways?
1 - Or using mesh function with Netgear Insight, means 1 wax connected with cable and the second only in wifi
2 - Or using 2 WAX with cable and set same SSID and password
I prefer the second case for better performance. But there is no issue with this method? In the past, I heard that this method can create conflict, isn't?

Both ways are technically workable. Undoubted, deploying all AP to a single LAN, making it up a wired backhaul, is the way to go from the performance view. Mesh is just good for placing some APs around the master AP, without a wired backhaul.

Tell us more from where these concerns are coming from. For the pure wired AP configuration, for using WPA2-PSK only, you don't need the WAX6xx or WAC5xx subscribed and integrated to Insight. For using more advanced security, like WPA3-SAE or enterprise environments, there is no way around Insight.
