How to set up the WAX 214
In the past I have purchased three Netgear devices to make my televisions internet ready. One of them has malfunctioned and I can't get it working so I purchased the WAX214 hoping it will work the same way the others do. Reading the set up instructions, it says to connect to a wifi computer. My computer is wired to the wireless modem so it isn't wireless. Should I connect to an open port on the modem?
I'm very confused and would appreciate any assistance.

There is two solutions that can help you setup the WAX214:
First solution:
- Turn on Wifi
- An SSID should appear its name should be "Wax214xxxxxx - CONFIG - ONLY" where xxxxxx are the las 6 digits of you device MAC address.
- Enter the password it should be in the bottom part of the device
- A window that redirects you to the page where you configure should open
- Follow the steps to configure the device
Second Solution:
- Open a browser
- In the search tab enter the IP address of the WAX214
- Then there should appear a warning page
- Click advanced
- Click accept and continue
- Follow the steps to configure the device
