WAX630E slow when managment lan is changed
Wifi speed on the WAX630E slows to around 40mbps on both upload and download when management lan id of the access point is changed. If it is left as 1, speed is normal. Previous access point from a d...

I've recently got a WAX615 and am experiencing a similar problem. I note the OP refers to 'slow WiFi' speed and am not exactly sure what is meant by this? For me, speeds between connected wifi clients are as expected. E.g. thru same VLAN, close AXx2 clients communicate at about 800 Mbps. Super! AX client to AC client gets about 500Mbps - also super! BUT... the Ethernet interface to the router (PfSense via GS108T switch) and therefore the internet/file server etc, is max 40 Mbps, and drops a lot of packets. I use iperf3 to test.
Can I ask everyone on this thread if they're having 'slow wifi' (not my problem) or 'slow ethernet' (my problem) ?
I have 3 VLANS, Management is not on the default VLAN, DHCP on all 3 VLANS at the router end (not on the WAP). Default VLAN 1 is enabled but not broadcast (just to see if it helped). WAX615 is PoE-at powered. Firmware is latest.
I've tried everything - The Ethernet iface worked initially at full speed but as soon as I enabled all the VLANS and changed the management VLAN the Ethernet slowed to a crawl, and I can't get it back. There is nothing wrong with the cable or the switch that it goes into - all fully tested and 100pct.
WTH? I am about to spend another weekend messing about with it - but it seems from this thread that I could be wasting my time

HoppySpadgeI've the same problem, indeed the Wifi is fine, it is an Ethernet problem as soon as the management vlan is changed it becomes really slow 40Mb - 60Mb. When keeping it default to vlan 1 the speed pretty is pretty much fully utilized (in my case 1000Mb).
There is supposed to be some beta firmware that fixes this, see answer of bamhm182 but I've yet to receive this. Lets hope netgear can fix this soon in their firmware.
