WAX206 WAN Port - 1G or 2.5G?
Greetings, I own (2) of the NETGEAR WAX206 Wiress Access Point. I bought them under the premise that the WAN port that connects to the router is a 2.5 Gbps port. Since then, I have found 2 confli...

The WAX206 does indeed have an Ethernet WAN port supporting 100/1000/2500Base-T Ethernet (RJ-45) port with Auto Uplink™ (Auto MDI-X).
The newer (updated bck in 2022) datsheet does correctly refer this fact, while the original one was derived from the WAX202 with five 100/1000Base-T Ethernet (RJ-45) port with Auto Uplink™ (Auto MDI-X).ports.

Thank you for responding & confirming that WAX206 does indeed have a 2.5G WAN port. It makes sense that the newer data sheet is the accurate one. For a second there I wondered whether there are 2 versions of WAX206 - one with 1G WAN port, and another with 2.5G port, but thank you for assuring me that it's not the case.
I hope that someone from NETGEAR sees this post & replaces the old spec sheet with the new one to avoid further confusion. WAX202 actually has four 1G ports, so it seems like they copied the 1G part over to the spec sheet of the WAX206 and replaced 'four' with 'five'.
Thanks again!

schumakuThank you for responding, and for confirming that the WAX206 does indeed have a 2.5G WAN port. For a second there I thought there were 2 versions of the WAX206 - One with five (5) Gigabit Ethernet ports, and another with four (4) Gigabit Ethernet ports & one (1) 2.5G Ethernet port, but thank you for confirming that this is not the case.
I hope someone from NETGEAR sees this & removes the dated spec sheet to avoid confusion.
