Can't register switch purchased from Amazon Warehouse as states already registered!

Hi, 

How do I resolve this switch registration issue please, have tried via https://insight.netgear.com/ and android insight app:

 

"This device was previously added to a different account. To add the device to your account, reset the device to factory default, change its management mode to Insight, and add the device to Insight."

 

I've factory reset, but no idea how to "change its management mode to Insight, and add the device to Insight."

 

Any clues please?

  • Thanks for replying people, but non actually help answer the question, unless I'm being thick.

    I already have an insight account with devices added to it This Amazon device I've purchased was obviously a return, but the person registered it to their own insight account. So how do I go about fixing this does Netgear support need to intervene so it can be removed from its present account and then I can register it on mine?

    The popup states "change its management mode to insight" which means nothing to me, no option in the device GUI to do this, and I don't have access to the account it was originally registered too, if that is where I'm supposed to go.

      Send an E-Mail with proof of purchase, product information with serial number and your concern to customer.service@netgear.com

      DaneA please assist this customer to get his product properly registered.

        I've just emailed that email address with Proof of Purchase and Serial number details.
