Choosing a AV NetGear switch for KVM
Hello,
I am looking for a recommendation for switches to build out a KVM system. There will be a OM4 fiber backbone running between switches. Rack mounted PC's will be KVM'ed over tow hops to another rack where the monitors stations will be. The switch solution needs to be handle dual monitor, one as 4K and another at 1080p for each link. We are using Adder 4000 receivers and transmitters for this project.
Adder stipulates that the switch ports need 10G and links between switches need to be 10G for each KVM link.
Some other requirements are
- IGMP Snooping
- Fast leave
- Spanning tree port fast enables on all KVM ports
- One switch needs IGMP querier function.
I would like to have plenty of additional overhead in the system for future expansion.
Thanks.
