Orbi SXS80 meshing with router in stead of first Orbi?
Hi,
I have a site with 2 Orbi sattelites and 1 router, where I want the first Orbi to connect to the router as the distance is ok (-60dB with WiFi speed up to 700mbit) and the second Orbi to connect to the first Orbi.
It does connect sometimes but it also tries to connect to the router directly, resulting in a poor WiFi connection (-79dB with WiFi speed of 90Mbit).
Is there a possibility where I can set the option to ONLY connect to the first Orbi and not to the router?
Im used to other networking gear like Unifi where all these things are possible but can't seem to find it.

There isn't. It negotiates the backhaul based on several factors but is automatically controlled. You can try moving the 2nd satellite further away from the first to see if that forces it to connect in a daisy chain setup.

Tough for me to read german đ
You can adjust some factors like broadcast signal strength and distance between units.
the hardest part is optimizing it isn't a simple, "this is what works best". Because of different environments/setups/home/building designs, different locations/signal powers could cause better results. You actually need to test the speeds.
When I first started going with a mesh setup, i tested a different layout each week and during the week, I'd try different broadcast strengths. It let me know the optimal placement of my satellites in a 1x/2x/3x satellite arrangement. I don't have to do it anymore but whenever I change setups, I have a rough idea where to place them.
