I am running the latest firmware & iOS ORBI app. I tried to activate the NETGEAR Armor Trial several times over the past few weeks. I followed the recommended steps, but have always gotten the error "Failed to Subscribe".
I have tried reboots & factory resets with no change in outcome.
I like that Armor is backed by BitDefender; however, I am very leery of paying for Armor if there is no guarantee that it will work!

Kudos to support! Issue solved as follows:
1. Place XFINITY router into Bridge Mode.
2. Factory Reset Orbi RBR50.
3. Open Orbi app on iOS.
4. Perform Orbi network Initial Setup.
Armor function automatically activated with 30 day trial.
I love the new Armor function!
