Armor on RBR50 on a AT&T fiber network

Yes. AP mode does disable various features on a router.

You have a couple of options. The easiest is to put your AT&T modem into bridge/passthrough mode:
bridge mode bgw320 505 - Google Search
This disables the router bit of the AT&T device.
Doing that might disable something useful on the BGW320-505. You'll have to investigate that.
Another option, which lets the two routers coexist as routers, is to look for instructions on how to put the RBR50 into the "DMZ" of the BGW320-505. That's a bit more complicated. So work out which option gives you the best performance.
