Armor reports online "threat" when accessing router setup
Hello all, For some time now Armor consistently reports threats whenever accessing the router setup page, which I would hope has no threats associated. Anyone else have a similar issue? Thank...
Been a long known issue with self signed certs with NG products. You can skip this warning. Browsers may overly detect these as critical or not meet browser standards as browsers are updated more frequently then routers are.
Unfortunately not quite sure what you're referring to with "FW". Tried to think of what that may be and only "forward" comes to mind.

Silly me, I shoulda known that. FW V5.1.1.8. The router update check states it's the latest, and while I understand sometimes that check may not see a newer version, I find that a bit ridiculous. If there's an update check it really ought to uh, find an update if one exists. I do have 1 or 2 pieces of software that also sometimes do that, update check says it's the latest, go to their web site to find a newer version.
Oh, and Armor again reported "multiple threats" when attempting to access it. The url was the usual ip adress, back slash and some additional characters. When I just manually input the ip I was able to get in after inputting name and password, but Chrome still reporting that it's "not secure". Seems the threat Armor keeps finding is for some untrusted certificate.
Also, page loads on Basic, I switch to Advanced, and after writing the last message only after about a minute or two, it needs me to sign in again. Any routers I've had previously I could leave the page open and enter and exit at will, only signing in if I reboot the pc or something.
Does this happen with another browser like MS Edge?
Typing in 192.168.1.1 with out anything else should get you the log in popup is all.
Your on the latest version of FW.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since the FW was updated?
Ok, Firefox let me in but also claims it's a not secure site and the reason is an unsigned certificate. Edge worked just fine. I hate Edge. Sigh.
I did sign again in Chrome and this time Armor didn't catch anything, but again, both Chrome & Firefox claim the site to be Not Secure. Perhaps this is some type of certificate error which I presume would mean Netgear should be aware of this, no?
