Canceling a Netgear Armor subscription takes an act of God
With a NetGear router I purchased a couple years ago, I made the dubious mistake of purchasing a Netgear Armour by Bitdefender subscription. I found little benefit in the product and ensured that I turned auto renewal off. Despite this, my subscription renewed last year necessitating me to call and cancel the product. Refund was issued and I thought that was the end of it.
Alas, I get an email a month ago stating that my Armour subscription was set to renew this month. I contacted Netgear support and was ensured that my auto renewal was turned off and that I would not be charged. (I even have the case number/log as proof.) Nevertheless, I just received a charge for $99.99 for renewal. So…I call Netgear support and they informed me that I actually have to cancel with Bitdefender, a “separate entity.” Funny that is separate for cancellation, but combined for purchase.

dispute it on your credit card.
Easy way to get the money back and cause issues on their end for unauthorized charges.
