does NETGEAR armor and bitdefender affect time machine backups

Question

i seem to be having a continuing problem with my time machine back up sparse bundle on my synology diskstation after installling netgear armor and the (not full version) of bitdefender. my backups don't seem to work smoothly anymore. i found a way to make an exeception -- but it doesn't work with the version of bitdefender that comes with the NG armor.

i've added the volume to the exceptions list. i even turned off time machine protection. i'm not sure what the problem is but things were working fine up until i purchased netgear armor.

anybody have any thoughts? i'd be most grateful.

My sense is that few people who watch this forum use Armor. You might get a more informed response by posting in the Armor forum:

I have not seen any reports of NETGEAR Armor affecting Time Machine backups. Just curious, have you tried disabling Armor to see if the issue persists.&nbsp;
